Electrician

Position: Electrician FT
Reports to:

Electrician Supervisor

Job Summary:

Responsible for all general maintenance and repair of electrical problems throughout the property.

Essential Functions:

* Ensure compliance with the applicable Tribal, Federal and other laws and gaming regulations and Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies and procedures.

* Ensure the highest possible standards of guest services by properly listening and responding to guest and team member concerns and questions.

* Remain in compliance with current National Electric code.

* Repair all electrical issues.

* Perform preventative maintenance on all electrical systems.

* Test all electrical systems, including emergency generator according to predetermined schedule.

* Install and repair electrical outlets.

* Maintain electrical rooms clean and in orderly working condition.

* Install and repair wiring, including low voltage.

* Promptly and accurately completes all work orders with minimal or no direction and in cooperation with other team members (when necessary).

* Responds to emergency calls as needed.

* Adhere to use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

* Read and understand technical/electrical diagrams and blueprints.

* Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions.

* Perform multiple electrical tasks with a need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job including: operating equipment used in skilled trades, power and hand tools, etc., adhering to safety practices; handling hazardous materials.

* Apprentice level knowledge of applicable code and safety related practices.

* Report all injuries and incidents immediately to the Electrician Supervisor.

* Report faulty or damaged equipment and tools immediately to the Electrician Supervisor.

* Demonstrate and promote KLECH core values and MAD skills.

* Manage and maintain security of confidential information entrusted to position.

* Attend and satisfactorily complete all required training as assigned.

* Monitor compliance with Federal currency transaction reporting requirements, Title 31 requirements and IRS Currency Transaction Reports and property established Anti-Money Laundering policies. Maintain accurate MTL, MIL, CTR and SAR as needed.

Minimum Requirements to

Qualifications:

* Must have High School Diploma or GED.

* Must maintain or be in current pursuit of an electrician license. Certification as electrician is required.

* Must have technical training or minimum one (1) year experience in related field.

* Strong communication skills in English both written and oral. Spanish or other language skills a plus.

Other Criteria:

Qualified Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas Members and qualified Native American preference is observed.
