Salary Range17.54 - 24.93 per hour, depending upon verified previous full-time experience
About the RoleThis Instructional Assistant supports instructional and student success services by working closely with staff and administration, reinforcing expectations, and helping maintain a structured, supportive learning space. Duties vary based on student and building needs and may include:
- Supporting students in de‑escalation/refocus routines
- Supervising students in assigned areas
- Tutoring as directed
- Preparing materials
- Maintaining records
- Providing general support that helps the school run smoothly
This position requires someone who can stay calm, respond productively to change, and maintain professional boundaries with students. Confidentiality is essential. Applicants who are bilingual in Spanish are encouraged to apply.
Who We’re Looking ForApplicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and meet one of the following:
- Completion of two years of postsecondary study
- Associate’s degree or higher
- Passing score on the district’s assessment test of reading, writing, math, and instruction
A valid Oregon driver’s license and reliable transportation are required. Successful candidates demonstrate a strong work ethic, dependable attendance and punctuality, and the ability to work cooperatively with staff, students, and the public. Strong communication, organization, and computer skills are expected.
