Instructional Assistant Title I (Part-time), Two Positions Available

Hillside Elementary School, Eagle Point, OR

Principal or Designee

174 days per year / 3.75 hours per day (0.469 FTE)

$17.54 per hour, depending upon verified previous full-time experience in a similar position.

The position will begin ASAP, with screening to commence immediately.

The Title I Instructional Assistant works under the direction of licensed staff to support targeted instructional services for students. Duties may include assisting with small-group or individual instruction, preparing instructional materials, tutoring students as directed, maintaining records, and supporting classroom routines. Assignments may vary depending on the student and program. This is a part-time position supporting Title I programming. You will be a valued member of the Hillside Elementary team, helping students stay engaged and supported academically.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and contributing to a positive school culture.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and meet the instructional assistant qualification requirements by having completed two years of postsecondary education, holding an associate's degree, or higher, or passing the district's reading, writing, and math assessment. Candidates should be dependable, able to follow teacher direction, communicate effectively, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to changing student needs. Prior experience working with children in a school or youth setting is preferred but not required.

Patience, flexibility, and a team-oriented mindset are essential.
