Eagle Point School District 9 is seeking a collaborative and knowledgeable Special Services Coordinator to provide leadership and oversight for the district's special services programs. This position plays an important role in supporting students, staff, and families by helping ensure high-quality services, strong systems of support, and compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
About the PositionThe Special Services Coordinator provides leadership and oversight for the district's special services, including special education, Section 504, and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) supports. This role ensures programs are effectively implemented and aligned with applicable laws, regulations, and district expectations.
The Coordinator serves as a liaison between the district and external agencies and works closely with K-12 school teams across EPSD
9. A key responsibility of this position is supporting building teams through guidance, coaching, and technical assistance related to special education, Section 504 processes, and inclusive practices.
This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating special services programs. The Coordinator helps ensure compliance with IEP and 504 requirements, supports problem‑solving for complex student needs, and helps maintain systems that promote high‑quality instruction and positive student outcomes.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate demonstrates strong knowledge and experience in developing and supporting district‑wide systems for special education and related services. They value collaboration and work effectively with educators, students, families, and community partners to support student success.
This position requires the ability to partner with school teams to provide clear guidance and feedback aligned with policies, procedures, and legal requirements. The successful candidate brings a commitment to inclusive practices, continuous improvement, and active engagement in the school community.
Applicants must hold a current Oregon Teaching or Administrative License through the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) and have at least five (5) years of experience in special education. Bilingual candidates, particularly those who speak Spanish, are encouraged to apply.
Benefits and CompensationSalary Range: $104,365 – $123,355 per year, in addition to a cell phone and travel stipend. Salary placement will be dependent upon verified full‑time experience.
Contract Days: 220 days per school year, to begin July 2026
Placement: District Wide / District Office
Supervisor: District Office Administrator
Position will begin July 2026, with screening to begin immediately.
