English Language Development (ELD) Teacher – Location TBD

Eagle Point School District 9 is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Language Development teacher to support multilingual learners. The role focuses on fostering language acquisition, academic achievement, and cultural appreciation in a welcoming, student‑centered environment.

As an ELD teacher, you will provide targeted instruction in English language development, ensuring that multilingual students acquire the academic language skills necessary for success. You will collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum, differentiate instruction, and integrate language‑learning strategies across subjects.

• Assess student language proficiency and track progress.
• Implement evidence‑based interventions to support individual student needs.
• Create a welcoming and culturally responsive classroom environment where students feel valued and empowered to use their linguistic and cultural strengths.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success.
• Integrate technology and innovative assessment tools.

• Current Oregon Teaching License with an endorsement in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages).
• Strong instructional and pedagogical skills in language acquisition.
• Collaborative team player eager to work with teachers, specialists, and families.
• Ability to adapt curricula to meet evolving student needs.
• Experience integrating technology and innovative assessment tools.
