Eagle Point School District 9 (EPSD9) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join the team at Eagle Rock Elementary School. This role supports students with disabilities by providing specially designed instruction and services that promote academic, social, and emotional development in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

About the RoleThe Special Education Resource Teacher at Eagle Rock Elementary will evaluate, design, and implement instruction for students with disabilities, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws. As a key member of the Student Services Team and IEP teams, the teacher will collaborate with general education staff, administrators, families, and specialists to develop and deliver individualized education plans that support student success.
Responsibilities- Instructional planning and classroom support for students with disabilities
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining all required documentation
- Providing training and guidance to instructional assistants
- Consulting with staff and families
- Participating in eligibility determinations
Contributing to school‑based professional development on best practices in special education
- Current Oregon Teaching License with a Special Education endorsement
- Strong collaboration, organization, communication, and leadership skills
- Familiarity with IEP processes and effective use of assessment data
- Ability to provide differentiated instruction tailored to student needs
- Experience working with diverse learners and applying trauma‑informed and inclusive practices
- Proficiency in utilizing technology for instruction and documentation
Salary Range: $46,548 – $90,846 plus a master’s stipend of $2,327 (depending upon approved previous experience and graduate level credits). Special Education Teachers receive a Federal Compliance Stipend of $3,000 each year.
Salary listed indicates current 2023‑2026 Collective Bargaining Agreement – subject to change.
Position will begin August 2026, with screening to begin immediately.
