Special Education Teacher (MAPS Program) –

Contract Days: 193/194 days starting August 2026

Salary Range: $46,548 – $90,846 plus master’s stipend of $2,327 (depending on approved prior experience and graduate credits). Federal Compliance Stipend of $3,000 per year.

• Design and deliver tailored instruction for students with diverse needs.
• Plan and deliver instruction, monitor student progress, and maintain all compliance records.
• Manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and lead IEP meetings.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams, consult with general education staff, and support educational assistants.
• Provide family outreach and coordinate support services.
• Implement strategies aligned with best practices in special education, promoting student engagement, safety, and academic growth.

• Current Oregon Teaching License with a Special Education endorsement.
• Strong knowledge of IDEA and related laws.
• Excellent communication, organization, and computer skills.
• Experience leading student-centered planning, progress monitoring, and collaboration with colleagues, families, and staff.
• Ability to design accessible curriculum and behavior supports, maintain documentation, and cultivate a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Commitment to student well‑being, professional integrity, and teamwork.
