The Instructional Assistant will assist licensed staff with instructional and supportive tasks, provide one‑on‑one and small group tutoring, and supervise students during class time, lunch, and recess.

This position includes preparing instructional materials, maintaining records, grading assignments, and supporting the use of classroom technology.

Instructional Assistants are expected to contribute positively to staff meetings, demonstrate professional behavior, respect student confidentiality, and adapt to the changing needs of students and teachers.

A strong commitment to ethical standards, district policies, and creating a safe, inclusive environment is essential.

• Assist licensed staff with instructional and supportive tasks.
• Provide one‑on‑one and small‑group tutoring.
• Supervise students during class time, lunch, and recess.
• Prepare instructional materials.
• Maintain instructional records and grading.
• Support classroom technology use.
• Participate in staff meetings and demonstrate professional behavior.
• Respect student confidentiality and adapt to student and teacher needs.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Postsecondary coursework, associate’s degree, or passing district assessments.
• Strong work ethic, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and organizational ability.
• Comfort with computers and technology.
• Flexible, proactive approach and willingness to respond positively to supervision and feedback.
• Enthusiasm for student learning and professional growth.
• Experience supporting students’ needs is preferred.
• Bilingual applicants in Spanish are encouraged.

• Salary Range: $17.20–$24.45 per hour based on previous full‑time experience

Position begins September 8, 2026. Contract of 182 days per year, 7 hours per day. Salary range $17.20–$24.45 per hour based on previous full‑time experience. Collective Bargaining Agreement applies.
