The Instructional Assistant will assist licensed staff with instructional and supportive tasks, provide one‑on‑one and small group tutoring, and supervise students during class time, lunch, and recess. The position includes preparing instructional materials, maintaining records, grading assignments, and supporting the use of classroom technology. Instructional assistants are expected to contribute positively to staff meetings, demonstrate professional behavior, respect student confidentiality, and adapt to the changing needs of students and teachers.

Located in the beautiful Rogue Valley of southern Oregon, EPSD9 serves students in Eagle Point, White City, and surrounding communities. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and meet one of the required educational qualifications such as post‑secondary coursework, an associate’s degree, or passing district assessments.

Prior experience supporting student needs is preferred. Bilingual applicants in Spanish are encouraged to apply.

Supervisor:
Principal or Designee

Contract Days: 182 days per year, 7 hours per day

Salary Range: $17.20–$24.45 per hour, depending on verified prior experience in a similar position

Salary indicated reflects the current 2023‑2026 Collective Bargaining Agreement and is subject to change.

Position will begin September 8, 2026, with screening to begin immediately.
