Eagle Point School District 9 (EPSD9) is seeking a compassionate, flexible, and student-centered Special Education Instructional Assistant to join its MAPS Program at Eagle Point High School. This vital classified position supports students with diverse needs, helping them access their education through personalized and structured support, teamwork, and a strong commitment to student growth.

The MAPS Special Education Instructional Assistant will work closely with the Special Education Teacher and classroom team to implement individualized supports and services outlined in students’ IEPs. Responsibilities include providing academic, behavioral, and functional support; assisting with personal care needs; and maintaining accurate documentation and communication with the team. The role requires responsiveness, patience, and the ability to adapt to the unpredictable nature of special education.

• Support in inclusive classroom settings

• Implement IEP‑specified supports and services
• Provide academic, behavioral, and functional assistance
• Assist with personal care and physical assistance as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and timely communication with the instructional team
• Support classroom teachers in inclusive settings

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed or holding CPR/First Aid and CPI certifications
• At least two years of college credit, an associate’s degree, or passing the district assessment in reading, writing, and math
• Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working with students requiring physical assistance and behavioral redirection

Placement: Eagle Point High School, Eagle Point, OR
Supervisor: Principal and/or designee
Contract Days: 182 days per year / 7 hours per day
Salary Range: $18.87–$26.85 per hour, dependent on verified experience
