Join Eagle Point School District 9 Inspiring Excellence in Education. Eagle Point School District 9 (EPSD9) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Instructional Assistant to join the team at Eagle Rock Elementary School. This is a critical position within our district, shaping the future of our students by fostering a love for literature, critical thinking, and effective communication.
Responsibilities- Assist licensed staff with instructional and supportive tasks.
- Provide one‑on‑one and small group tutoring.
- Supervise students during class time, lunch, and recess.
- Prepare instructional materials.
- Maintain records and grade assignments.
- Support the use of classroom technology.
- Contribute positively to staff meetings, demonstrate professional behavior, respect student confidentiality, and adapt to changing needs of students and teachers.
- Commit to ethical standards, district policies, and creating a safe, inclusive environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Postsecondary coursework, associate's degree, or passing district assessments.
- Prior experience supporting students' needs preferred.
- Strong work ethic, effective communication and interpersonal skills, organizational ability, and comfort with computers and technology.
- Flexible, proactive approach and willingness to respond positively to supervision and feedback.
- Enthusiastic about student learning and professional growth.
- Maintain appropriate relationships with students, colleagues, and the school community.
- Bilingual applicants in Spanish encouraged.
Position Title: Instructional Assistant
Placement: Eagle Rock Elementary, Eagle Point, Oregon
Supervisor: Principal or Designee
Contract Days: 182 days per year / 7 hours per day
Salary Range: $17.20-$24.45 per hour (subject to change).
Start Date: September 8, 2026
