Eagle Point School District 9 (EPSD9) is seeking a compassionate, flexible, and student‑centered Special Education Instructional Assistant to join the MAPS Program at Eagle Point High School. This classified position supports students with diverse needs, helping them access their education through personalized and structured support, teamwork, and a strong commitment to student growth.

Located in the scenic Rogue Valley, EPSD9 serves Eagle Point, White City, and surrounding rural areas. Our schools focus on preparing all students for success in life beyond the classroom.

The MAPS Special Education Instructional Assistant works closely with the Special Education Teacher and the classroom team to implement individualized supports and services outlined in students’ IEPs. Responsibilities include providing academic, behavioral, and functional support; assisting with personal care needs; and maintaining accurate documentation and communication with the team.

• Assist students individually, in small groups, or in inclusive classroom settings.
• Implement supports and services as outlined in students’ IEPs.
• Provide academic, behavioral, and functional assistance.

• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with the team.
• Support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion or current possession of CPR/First Aid and CPI certifications.
• Either two years of college credit, an associate’s degree, or the ability to pass the district’s assessment in reading, writing, and math.
• Experience working with students who require physical assistance, behavioral redirection, or personal care (preferred).
• Collaborative, proactive, and confident working with special education students.

Position Title: Instructional Assistant – Special Education (MAPS)
Placement: Eagle Point High School, Eagle Point, OR
Supervisor: Principal and/or designee
Contract Days: 182 days per year / 7 hours per day
Salary Range: $18.87 - $26.85 per hour depending upon verified previous full‑time experience in a similar position.
Salary listed indicates current  Collective Bargaining Agreement - subject to change.
Position will begin September 8, 2026, with screening to begin immediately.
