Eagle Point School District 9 (EPSD9) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Instructional Assistant to join our team at Eagle Point High School. This critical position shapes the future of our students by fostering a love for literature, critical thinking, and effective communication.

As a Special Education Instructional Assistant, you will work closely with special education teachers, site administrators, and support staff to provide vital services and instruction to students with special needs. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities include supporting students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development, while ensuring they have the tools and care necessary to succeed.

You will assist in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), provide one‑on‑one or small group support, and help students with personal and physical care. You play an integral role in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment and ensuring compliance with special education regulations.

We’re searching for individuals who are patient, collaborative, and passionate about supporting students with disabilities. The ideal candidate is flexible, communicates effectively, and can positively engage with students, staff, and families. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, meet one of the required educational qualifications (such as postsecondary coursework, an associate’s degree, or passing district assessments), and be trained or willing to be trained in CPR, first aid, CPI restraint procedures, and special education best practices.

Prior experience supporting students with special needs is preferred. Bilingual applicants in Spanish are encouraged.

Position Title: Special Education Instructional Assistant
Placement: Eagle Point High School, Eagle Point, Oregon
Supervisor: Principal or Designee
Contract Days: 182 days per year, 7 hours per day
Salary Range: $18.87–$26.85 per hour, depending on verified previous full‑time experience in a similar position
Position will begin September 8, 2026, with screening to begin immediately.
