Design and deliver specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs in the PALS (Positive Academic Learning Skills) Program. Lead the Student Services Team, support individualized instruction, collaborate with families, manage IEPs, maintain compliance records, and participate in multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, deliver, and assess instruction tailored to individual student needs.
- Monitor student progress and maintain all compliance and documentation.
- Manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and facilitate IEP meetings.
- Consult with general‑education staff, support educational assistants, and provide family outreach.
- Implement evidence‑based strategies, promote student engagement, safety, and academic growth.
- Current Oregon Teaching License with a Special Education endorsement.
- Strong knowledge of IDEA, Title I, and state and federal special education laws.
- Experience leading student‑centered planning, progress monitoring, and collaboration.
- Excellent communication, organization, and computer skills.
- Ability to design accessible curriculum and behavior supports.
- Commitment to professional collaboration and team leadership.
Salary range: $46,548 – $90,846 plus a master’s stipend of $2,327 (based on approved experience and credits). Federal compliance stipend: $3,000 per year.
Contract:
193/194 days per year, 8 hours per day.
