The City of Eagle Point is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Police Officer (Lateral or Entry Level). The position may be filled at a higher level depending on the qualifications of the applications received.

• Answer calls for the protection of life and property
• Enforce City, County, and State laws
• Pursue, apprehend, and make arrests as necessary
• Issue traffic violations
• Direct traffic in emergencies or during events
• Restore order and maintain peace
• Work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

The following phases will apply to the hiring process:

• Application scoring phase
• Successful completion of ORPAT
• Psychological and medical exams

• 4% incentive for Associates or Intermediate Certification
• 8% incentive for Bachelor's or Advanced Certification (maximum incentive is 8%)

The salary range for this position is $67,165–$84,218. The City pays the employee portion of PERS and covers full-family health insurance at no additional cost to the employee.
