Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, and to establish retailer relationships while being the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support team members with seasonal resets and installations as needed. On occasion you may also work with products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salaryand Schedule Details
- Hourly pay rate: $16.00 – $18.00, depending on skills and experience.
- Paid training through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom sessions.

- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- Part‑time position with a variable schedule during the week.
- Average weekly hours: 7–10 hours.
- Availability required during the week before and after major holidays and on weekends if necessary.
- Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
- Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you will restock, organize, and monitor inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. The role requires effective use of technology for communication, reporting, feedback, and surveys. You will interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers, and are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
- Holiday support: During peak seasons such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may work additional days and extended hours, including the holidays themselves and weekends.
- Department resets: Occasionally you will be part of a team responsible for installing and relocating Hallmark fixtures, card departments, and products. Typical advance notice is two weeks, and assignments may include evenings or weekends.
- Team collaboration: As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you may support other merchandiser professionals within their territories.
This is a physically demanding job requiring high energy and urgency. You will be on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds, and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You must also kneel, squat, walk, stand, and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.
Basic Qualifications- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to lift and carry products up to 30 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Proficient with a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
- Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
