The Town of Eagle is looking for an Administrative Technician I or II who is detail-oriented, organized, and tech-savvy with a passion for community development and public service. In this pivotal role, you’ll provide essential administrative support while contributing to the planning, coordination, and execution of key community development initiatives.

About the Role

As an Administrative Technician I/II this position provides administrative support to all members of the Community Development department. This position performs the following duties: receptionist, answering calls, greeting customers, managing Planning inbox. Report generation, managing files, reviewing business licenses, managing databases, processing invoices, assisting the Director with department budget administration, and other support functions as needed by community development staff. Ability to model Town of Eagle staff values of integrity, respect, commitment, responsibility, collaboration, and leadership.

This position is in-office.

Administrative Technician I

Hiring Range: $23.64 - $28.37 per hour. The maximum pay range is $33.10 per hour. A hire rate over the hiring range may be considered based on candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Requires: (1) high School diploma or GED; (2) degree in related field preferred; (3) One to three years or more of administrative experience required.

Administrative Technician II

Hiring Range: $26.05 - $31.25 per hour. The maximum pay range is $36.46 per hour. A hire rate over the hiring range may be considered based on candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Requires: (1) High school diploma or GED required; (2) degree in related field preferred; (3) three to five years or more of administrative experience required; (4) experience with a previous municipality or Community Development department, preferred; (5) department budget administration experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service & Reception:
    Receptionist, answering calls, greeting customers, managing Planning inbox.
  • Land Use Applications & Permitting:
    Report generation, managing files, reviewing business licenses, and managing databases.
  • Report & Database Management:
    Generate reports and manage departmental records in both paper and digital formats.
  • Budget Support:
    Processing invoices, track expenses, assisting the Director with department budget administration.
  • Communication & Coordination:
    Help with public notices, meeting agendas, and event planning, while supporting the Planning & Zoning Commissioners and Town Council meetings.
  • In addition: have the opportunity to lead special projects, assist with public engagement events, and contribute to the overall success of the Community Development department.
