Position: Distribution and Collection Technician (Trainee, I, II, III, IV)
Reports To/Department: Utility Manager and Water and Wastewater Lead Operators

Job Type: Full-Time, non-exempt, eligible for overtime

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Maintain and operate water distribution & wastewater collection systems across the town.
• Fix water leaks, sewer issues, hydrants, and valves to keep Eagle running smoothly.
• Perform utility locates and inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
• Respond to emergency repairs like water main breaks and sewer backups.
• Operate specialized equipment for jetting wastewater lines and maintaining pump stations.
• Maintains and reads the town’s residential and commercial water meters
• Assists with snow removal, special events, and emergency situations (yes, we need heroes year-round!).
• Works closely with contractors, residents, and town departments to provide top-notch service.
• On-Call Rotation:
  This position requires being on-call every other week, including evenings and weekends, to respond to emergencies such as water main breaks, sewer backups, and other urgent issues.

• Must obtain Water Distribution Class 1 and Wastewater Collection Class 1 certifications within one year of hire .

• Possess Water Distribution Class 1 and Wastewater Collection Class 1 certifications.
• Some experience in water and wastewater operations or a related field (construction, plumbing, etc.).
• Ability to assist in repairs, inspections, and maintenance tasks with supervision.
