Automotive Mechanic

What You Will Do:

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our dedicated Service Department. This role is critical to our “Buy Here Pay Here” operations, focusing on both reconditioning of our used vehicle inventory and providing high-quality repairs and maintenance for our outside customers.

$20.00 to $30.00 hourly depending on experience.

• Timely Diagnosis & Repair of All Vehicle Makes & Models
• Inventory Reconditioning
• Customer Pay Repairs and Maintenance

• Automotive technician certification(s) from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or similar accredited credentialing body preferred.
• 5 years of related progressive technical experience required (or combination of education and experience).
• Used car reconditioning experience preferred.
• Dealership experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Moderate knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair.
• Proficient mechanical repair skills.
• Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues.
• Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software.
• Ability to read service and repair manuals.
• Ability to perform repairs in a timely fashion.
• Ability to read work orders.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to effectively present and communicate information.
• Driving history that meets company requirements to be covered by general liability insurance coverage.
