Landscape Architect (PLA) — Site Design & Integrated Land Development
Location:
Eagle, Idaho. In-office. Compensation:
Competitive + bonus.
Bailey Engineering partners with experienced developers shaping some of the fastest-growing communities in the Treasure Valley. Our projects are visible, long-term, and consequential — neighborhoods people will live in for decades. We are structured, process-driven, and deadline-focused. Our developer clients expect clarity and execution — and we deliver both. We are adding a licensed Landscape Architect to put site design where it belongs: inside the engineering, not bolted on after the fact.
You would own the landscape, planting, irrigation, and grading-sensitive side of our sites and shape spaces that endure — concept through construction documents — alongside the civil team designing the same ground.
You would lead landscape architecture from concept through permitting and construction documents — blending function, design, and environmental sensitivity across commercial, residential, and mixed-use development. That includes:
- Leading the planning and design of landscape architecture for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments
- Preparing and reviewing site plans, landscape and planting plans, irrigation plans, and construction documents
- Carrying design through permitting and construction, ensuring compliance with local ordinances and client objectives
- Working shoulder-to-shoulder with our civil engineers, planners, and surveyors to deliver one integrated site solution
- Coordinating with clients, municipal reviewers, and regulatory agencies through design and approval
- Mentoring junior staff and supporting emerging designers
- Contributing to scoping, proposals, budgets, and schedules
- Landscape, planting, and irrigation packages that clear agency review with minimal first-cycle comments
- Site design integrated with the civil set from the start — not reconciled at the end
- Established working relationships with reviewers across Southern Idaho jurisdictions
- Earned trust with key developer clients
