- Supervise the dispensing pharmacy
- Monitor industry, regulatory, and compliance developments, including state Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and FDA requirements
- Educate staff on regulatory changes, compliance, FDA drug recalls, drug information, sample medications, and investigational studies
- Implement quality assurance programs for pharmacy services and improve patient care
- Implement policies and procedures for procurement, storage, security, and disposition of drugs and devices
- Maintain records of pharmacist licensure and technician registrations
- Respond to Board of Pharmacy warning notices
- Maintain prescription and patient healthcare information integrity and confidentiality
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations and accreditation rules
- Serve as a primary source of information for internal and external customer questions
- Perform narcotic room compliance duties, including controlled-substance self-surveys, regulatory inquiry resolution, prescription documentation, and drug recall surveillance
- Lead the team and foster continuous improvement, quality, and service
- Report directly to the General Manager
- Must be a licensed pharmacist in the state of Washington, active and in good standing
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy
- 40 hours per week availability
- On-call requirement
- Preferred: 1 year management experience in a Pharmacist in Charge or Pharmacy Manager role
Demonstrates expertise in pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance while effectively leading a pharmacy team to enhance patient care and service delivery.
