Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist

Lana Funkhouser with Robert Half is searching for a Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist to lead staffing and onboarding efforts for multiple locations. This onsite Boise-based role works closely with operational leadership to identify staffing needs, attract talent with relevant experience, and create a smooth transition from candidate selection through new employee orientation. The ideal candidate brings strong recruiting judgment, organizational discipline, and the ability to manage high-volume activity while maintaining a positive candidate experience.

This position will lead full-cycle recruiting and onboarding efforts across multiple locations in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on employee onboarding.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end staffing activities for hourly and management positions across multiple sites, from intake discussions through accepted offers.
• Build candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing strategies, job postings, and ongoing outreach to talent in relevant labor markets.
• Review applications, conduct initial screenings, and guide selected individuals through the interview process with staffing leaders.
• Coordinate interview scheduling and communication to ensure an efficient, well-organized experience for candidates and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare employment offers and manage pre-start steps such as background-related documentation, onboarding paperwork, and staffing compliance tasks.
• Facilitate onboarding for new employees by ensuring timely completion of required forms, orientation steps, and readiness for day one.
• Maintain accurate recruiting records, applicant tracking updates, and staffing documentation within designated systems, including Paycom when applicable.
• Partner with operations leaders on workforce planning efforts by monitoring staffing activity, identifying staffing trends, and supporting talent needs across locations.
