Job Responsibilities
- Play key role in managing and overseeing commercial aspects of projects, ensuring effective management of contracts, financials, and risks to optimize project success.
- Assist to prepare “Rights and Obligations Summaries” for both the Head Contracts and Subcontractors for use by the Project team, enabling compliance and execution.
- Manage claims and variations in collaboration with project teams to maximize entitlements and avoid disputes, ensuring timely submission and approval.
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks in Head Contracts and Subcontracts, ensuring compliance with project requirements and implementing effective risk‑mitigation strategies.
- Draft and strategize head contract letters/notices and develop standard contract letters/notices for contractual management of subcontractors.
- Set up subcontracts/supply agreements in conjunction with the Commercial Manager & SCM and implement standard templates.
- Formulate and administer subcontracts, referencing Head Contract principles and best practice.
- Review and advise on dispute resolution and appraise contractual entitlements of Head and/or subcontract issues, achieving win/win resolutions.
- Coordinate and facilitate collaboration between commercial, technical, and operational divisions to align contract administration, cost control, risk management and project execution.
- Lead preparation and implementation of Contract Management Plan and Subcontract Management Plan.
- Maintain and actively implement SHE programs and responsibilities, including the SHE Management System in line with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SMK3 & SMKP standards.
Bachelor’s degree in a construction‑related discipline, such as Commercial & Legal, Engineering, or QS, with demonstrated expertise in contract administration, claims management, and dispute resolution.
Skill, Knowledge, and Experience- Minimum 5+ years of experience in contract administration, commercial management, or procurement within construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrates ethical behavior, professionalism, and a positive attitude during team collaboration.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a proactive approach to risk identification and resolution.
- Experience working in cross‑functional teams across different divisions.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities (fluent in English and Bahasa, both verbal and written).
