Village Co is seeking dedicated and creative volunteers to join our

Communications Circle

This team is responsible for managing the messaging and creative components of the organization. As a member, you will play a key role in shaping our verbal and visual branding, ensuring our story is told effectively to both external audiences and our internal community.

Key Responsibilities
  • External Relations Support marketing, publicity, and digital media initiatives, including managing our newsletter and social media channels.
  • Internal Communications Help craft and deliver communications that support and engage Village Co members.
  • Project & Policy Development Participate in creating and refining communications policies, and join specific project teams, sub-circles, or task forces as needed.
  • Active Collaboration Attend monthly circle meetings, provide feedback on shared work, and complete assigned tasks independently between meetings.
Desired Qualities & Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about community building and possess the following

  • A strong passion for communications, strategy, and planning.
  • Experience or background in graphic design, video production, editing, publicity, branding, or internal communications.
  • A passion for or experience in project management.
  • Excellent collaborative skills and a strong desire to work within a team.
  • An interest in engaging with both public audiences and internal members.
  • A commitment to shared decision-making and a willingness to learn sociocracy.
Time & Schedule Expectations
  • Meeting Schedule Must be available to attend our monthly meeting, which takes place on the second Tuesday of every month at 10 00 AM Pacific Time for 90 minutes.
  • Workflow Ability to take on assignments and complete work independently between meetings.
  • Term Open to a longer-term volunteer commitment of 6 months or more.
