Youth Education and Food Security Program Coordinator VISTA

Culture for Change Foundation mission: “We Provide education and training for women and youth to promote cultural, social and financial independence, and an inclusive safe space that inspires confidence and joy”. Our purpose:
We aim to involve youth and adult community members in events that give back to the community including mentorship programs, community advocacy, youth educational programs, financial independence/sustainable programs, artistic programs and more. Our vision: to fully engage society in promoting and encouraging positive and sustainable community culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research tutoring and food security organizations to determine best practices and develop a framework.
  • Create food pantry use guidelines, sign‑in sheets or forms.
  • Develop a follow‑up system and framework to ensure beneficiaries have wrap‑around services.
  • Develop a resource guide for beneficiaries.
  • Develop a Culture for Change class guide.
  • Create food pantry volunteer handbook, training materials, and position descriptions.
  • Develop youth homework and program survey, review and adjust program as needed.
  • Observe volunteer shifts and adjust training and resources as needed.
  • Develop tutoring position descriptions, volunteer training handbook, and resources.
