Position Summary

The Junior Sales Associate supports the growth of Functional Medicine of Idaho (FMI) by helping prospective and existing patients understand and enroll in Wellness Packages and Functional Care Plans that align with their health goals and care needs.

This is an entry-level sales position focused on building relationships, educating prospective patients on FMI's offerings, following up with leads, and helping patients navigate their options with confidence. The Junior Sales Associate works closely with providers, Care Coordinators, Marketing, and Operations to ensure a smooth transition from initial interest through enrollment and onboarding.

Success in this role requires strong communication, consistent follow-through, comfort discussing pricing and financial commitments, and a genuine interest in helping patients understand the value of functional and wellness-based care.

Key Responsibilities Patient Sales & Enrollment
  • Educate prospective and existing patients on FMI's Wellness Packages and Functional Care Plans
  • Conduct sales consultations to understand patient needs, goals, and interests and clearly explain appropriate program options.
  • Guide interested patients through pricing, program benefits, enrollment, and next steps.
  • Follow up consistently with prospective patients who are considering a program or care plan.
  • Work toward established individual sales, enrollment, and conversion goals.
  • Identify opportunities to connect existing patients with additional FMI programs or services when appropriate.
  • Maintain a consultative, patient-centered approach without making clinical recommendations or guarantees regarding outcomes.
Lead Management & Follow-Up
  • Respond promptly and professionally to assigned inbound leads and patient inquiries.
  • Conduct outbound follow-up through phone, email, text, and other approved communication channels.
  • Maintain an organized pipeline of prospective patients and consistently follow up on open opportunities.
  • Re-engage prospective patients who previously expressed interest but did not enroll.
  • Accurately document conversations, follow-up activity, and enrollment status within FMI's systems.
  • Escalate clinical questions to the appropriate provider or clinical team rather than providing medical advice.
Patient Experience
  • Create a welcoming, knowledgeable, and professional experience for prospective patients.
  • Clearly communicate program benefits, pricing, expectations, and next steps.
  • Help patients understand the differences between FMI's available programs and care options.
  • Address common questions and concerns while staying within the scope of the sales role.
  • Coordinate a smooth handoff to the appropriate clinical, scheduling, or administrative team following enrollment.
Events & Community Engagement
  • Participate in FMI educational events, wellness events, open houses, expos, and other community outreach opportunities.
  • Engage with attendees, answer questions about FMI's programs, and capture prospective patient information.
  • Follow up with event leads to convert interest into consultations and enrollments.
  • Represent FMI professionally and consistently in the community.
Sales Goals & Performance
  • Work toward established weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Track individual lead activity, follow-up, conversions, and revenue.
  • Maintain accurate records to support sales reporting and forecasting.
  • Participate in sales training, coaching, team meetings, and performance reviews.
  • Use feedback and performance data to continuously improve sales skills and conversion effectiveness.
Cross-Department Collaboration
  • Work closely with providers and clinical teams to support appropriate patient handoffs.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns, promotions, events, and lead follow-up.
  • Coordinate with scheduling, operations, and patient experience teams to ensure newly enrolled patients have a seamless experience.
