Wesdome is a Canadian-focused gold producer with two high-grade underground assets, the Eagle River mine in Ontario and the Kiena mine in Québec. The Company’s primary goal is to responsibly leverage its operating platform and high-quality brownfield and greenfield exploration pipeline to build a growing value-driven gold producer.

The Eagle River Mine site has a tight-knit team where everyone knows each other and there is a strong sense of camaraderie and mutual support. It is a hands‑on, fast‑paced environment where work feels impactful and you can see the results of your contributions quickly. There are many long‑tenured employees and a lot of site pride.

The mine is located a short drive from Wawa, deep in the forest where it is scenic and quiet. It is a real ‘boots on the ground’ setting. Team members reside in a camp environment and typically work on rotations, depending on the position. The camp offers excellent food, a sauna/gym, recreational room and the opportunity to stay connected with family and friends.

The Environmental Advisor is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving assigned site environmental programs while supporting environmental monitoring, permit compliance, field execution, incident follow‑up, data management, and environmental stewardship.

This role completes fieldwork with Environmental Technicians, Monitors, and students, while also taking greater ownership of assigned environmental program areas such as compliance, hazardous waste, water management, wildlife, site inspections, spill response, environmental monitoring, contractor support, or other site‑specific programs.

The Environmental Advisor provides field‑level leadership, technical support, and guidance to Environmental Technicians, Monitors, and students to ensure environmental work is completed safely, consistently, and in accordance with applicable legislation, permits, approvals, management plans, company standards, and site procedures. Site environmental governance plays a key role in this position facilitating ongoing operations while maintaining environmental stewardship and compliance.

The position requires strong field competency, environmental judgment, organization, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage assigned programs and follow‑up actions in a mining or industrial environment without supervision. The Environmental Advisor must be able to represent the environmental department for routine operations and tasks in various meetings.

• Complete environmental monitoring, sampling, inspections, field measurements, equipment checks, and environmental observations in accordance with permits, approvals, management plans, SOPs, and site procedures.
• Lead assigned environmental program areas, which may include hazardous waste, waste management, wildlife management, spill response, environmental inspections, water monitoring, sampling programs, or other site‑specific programs.
• Assist Environmental Technicians with planning and prep for field activities, including equipment, bottles, preservatives, labels, chain‑of‑custody forms, field sheets, maps, access requirements, and safe work planning.
• Provide field‑level guidance to Environmental Technicians, Monitors, and Students to support safe, consistent, and accurate completion of assigned work.
