We are seeking a resourceful Production Technician with exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate thrives in high-energy, live-event environments, managing multiple tasks while keeping a clear and calm mindset. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Position OverviewThe Production Technician supports the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of all technical elements for Spotlight and LEAP events. This includes lighting, audio, video, stage equipment, and media systems. The role requires collaboration with vendors, venue staff, and fellow event personnel to ensure reliable and high-quality technical execution throughout each event.
Key Responsibilities- Set up, test, and maintain stage, audio, video, lighting, and computer systems
- Troubleshoot technical systems across performance spaces and retail areas
- Coordinate with staging and lighting vendors to ensure proper configuration
- Partner with venue staff to meet technical requirements for space and equipment
- Support security and ensure a safe event environment
- Manage truck loading and unloading and assist with staff meal procurement
- Provide occasional support as Announcer or Video Specialist as scheduled
- Manage crew meal logistics, including menu selection and ordering
- Prior experience in technical support, live production, or event AV setups
- Training or education in theater technology, broadcasting, or related fields (Preferred)
- Experience with lighting, audio, and multimedia systems in live-event environments (Preferred)
- Experience in technical theater, broadcasting, or film/TV, with knowledge of lighting, sound, and media workflows
