Our client who is a well known National Mechanical and Electrical company who is currently looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join there expanding Electrical team.
As Electrical Supervisor you will be looking after electrical teams, installations, and maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations (e.g., NICEIC, 18th Edition) and project deadlines. Key responsibilities include supervising staff, diagnosing faults, managing site safety, and liaising with contractors. They require strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and relevant trade qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
* Team Leadership:
Supervise and coordinate electricians, apprentices, and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow.
* Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all work meets electrical codes, health and safety regulations (e.g., NICEIC) and prepare risk assessments and method statements.
* Project Execution:
Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
* Technical Support:
Perform diagnostic testing, troubleshooting, and supervise complex technical tasks.
* Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of work, including, inspection and testing certificates, maintenance logs, and inventory.
Required Qualifications & Skills
* Certifications:
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671), and inspection/testing qualifications
* Experience:
Proven experience as an electrician with supervisory experience, typically in commercial or domestic settings.
* Technical Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of electrical systems, maintenance, and safety codes.
* Leadership:
Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Typical Working Conditions
* This role may include on-call duties and working in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments
