Passive Fire Supervisor

We are currently seeking an experienced Passive Fire Supervisor to oversee a high-volume programme of fire door and Fire Risk Assessment remedial works across occupied residential properties in Ealing.

Working for a leading contractor within the fire safety sector, you will supervise the day-to-day delivery of passive fire protection works, ensuring operatives and subcontractors complete installations and remedial works safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

You will work closely with the Project Manager, providing regular progress updates and ensuring all works are properly inspected, recorded and delivered in accordance with the programme.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervise day-to-day fire door and FRA remedial works across occupied residential properties.

* Coordinate directly employed operatives and subcontractors.

* Allocate daily workloads and ensure labour is deployed effectively.

* Monitor the quality and progress of passive fire protection works.

* Inspect fire door installations, repairs and associated FRA remedial works.

* Ensure works are completed in accordance with specifications, manufacturers’ guidance and project requirements.

* Record completed works, defects and outstanding remedial items.

* Carry out regular site inspections and quality checks.

* Ensure health and safety procedures are followed across all work areas.

* Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and daily safety briefings.

* Ensure RAMS and safe systems of work are understood and implemented by site teams.

* Monitor labour levels, productivity and programme progress.

* Support the resolution of site-related issues and technical queries.

Requirements

* Proven experience supervising fire door, FRA or passive fire protection works.

* Good practical knowledge of fire door installation, maintenance and remedial works.

* Strong understanding of passive fire protection quality and compliance requirements.

* Experience supervising directly employed operatives and subcontractors.

* Ability to identify defective or non-compliant workmanship.

* Confident completing site records, inspection sheets and photographic reports.

* Excellent client-facing and resident liaison skills.

* Strong organisational and communication skills.

* Ability to manage several work areas within a fast-paced environment.

* Full UK Driving Licence.

Qualifications

* SSSTS or SMSTS.

* Valid CSCS Card.

* First Aid at Work.

* Fire door inspection, installation or passive fire protection qualifications are highly desirable.

* Relevant manufacturer or industry training would be advantageous.

* BM Trada or FIRAS Accrediation would be Advantageous
