Qualifications:

• Valid S.C. Elementary Principal certification must be submitted
• At least 3 years assistant principal experience required
• At least 3 years teaching early childhood or elementary level experience required
• Strong knowledge of elementary curriculum and an in depth understanding of early literacy and effective instructional practices at the elementary level
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to lead and support the PLC process
• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to deal with complex issues
• Ability to articulate high performance expectations to others and the ability to utilize assessment data for school change and improvement
• Ability to work and communicate effectively with individuals and groups from a wide variety of educational and cultural backgrounds and to create and sustain a school culture that promotes student growth and achievement while sustaining a healthy and positive morale among educational professionals
• Ability to manage and supervise systems, processes and personnel
• Proficiency in utilizing instructional technology
