We are seeking a professional Interim Finance Director to join an excellent team. This is a full time, 3-4 month temporary assignment. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of management level accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all finance and accounting operations.
- Manage and mentor an accounting department.
- Drive and support the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Analyze financial results and investigate variances from budget, forecast, and prior periods.
- Prepare, review, and present financial reports to executive leadership.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with leadership regarding financial performance, trends, and variances.
- Pull and review planning files and supporting financial data.
- Identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for operational and financial improvement.
- Support fiscal year-end close activities.
- Assist with year-end reporting and related financial deliverables.
- Collaborate with accounting leadership to ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Significant progressive finance and accounting leadership experience.
- Strong background within a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas, financial modeling, reporting, and data analysis.
- Experience leading accounting and finance teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven experience explaining financial performance, trends, and variances to executive leadership.
- Experience supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
- Exceptional professionalism, communication, and executive presence.
Hours:
- Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm)
- 100% ONSITE
- 3-4 month Temporary assignment
Compensation:
- $45 - $50 hourly
