The Senior Project Manager leads complex industrial manufacturing and material-handling projects from order acknowledgment through delivery, installation, and closeout. This position is accountable for project scope, cost, schedule, quality, risk, and customer satisfaction while coordinating customers, system integrators, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
Areas of Responsibility- Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, milestones, and deliverables.
- Serve as the primary project contact for customers, system integrators, contractors, suppliers, site personnel, and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate project activities across Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, Shipping, Field Services, and Installation.
- Review contracts, purchase orders, specifications, drawings, and other project documents to confirm requirements and identify risks.
- Monitor engineering releases, material availability, production, inspections, shipping, site readiness, installation, and startup activities.
- Lead project meetings, document decisions and action items, and hold responsible parties accountable for assigned deliverables.
- Track project costs, forecasts, invoicing milestones, schedules, quality requirements, and key performance indicators.
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and coordinate corrective actions to minimize customer impact.
- Manage scope changes, including documentation, pricing, approvals, schedule impacts, and change orders.
- Maintain accurate project records and provide regular status reports to customers and leadership.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Resolve project conflicts and elevate issues that may affect cost, schedule, quality, or delivery.
- Lead project closeout, including customer acceptance, final documentation, financial reconciliation, and lessons learned.
- Support continuous improvement of project-management procedures, tools, and reporting practices.
- Advanced knowledge of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and project controls.
- Ability to lead multiple complex projects and cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
- Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing, structural steel fabrication, warehouse automation, construction, or material-handling systems.
- Ability to interpret contracts, purchase orders, technical drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and project schedules.
