Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA)

Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Current South Carolina CNA certification in good standing
  • RNA/CNA training/certification required
  • PCC (Point Click Care ) experience preferred
  • Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care
  • Long-term care experience preferred
Position Summary

The Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) provides restorative nursing services designed to help residents maintain or improve mobility, strength, independence, and quality of life while working under the direction of nursing and rehabilitation staff.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with restorative exercises and mobility programs
  • Support ambulation, transfers, splinting, and range-of-motion activities
  • Encourage participation in daily activities and out-of-bed mobility
  • Assist with ADLs including bathing, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene
  • Obtain and document resident weights
  • Reposition residents to promote comfort and skin integrity
  • Accurately document care and restorative services provided
  • Report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
  • Prepare residents for appointments, treatments, meals, and activities
  • Maintain a positive, respectful, and therapeutic resident environment
Education & Certifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Current CNA certification in good standing
  • RNA training/certification
  • CPR certification if required
  • Must maintain all required licenses and continuing education requirements
