American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active SC or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent unit experience.

• Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to unit needs
• Floating required to other units or facilities as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Uses EPIC for documentation and Omnicell for medication administration

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required
• At least 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR required
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy and blood product administration required
• Experience in Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, or CVA preferred

• Provide nursing care within a Med/Surg Tele setting, including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Floating assigned only to units where competencies have been demonstrated and documented
• Orientation occurs every Monday with annual compliance training required
• Pre-assignment testing and modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
• Candidates must be located more than 100 miles from any Prisma Health facility to be eligible for full travel assignment rates, with reduced rates available for those 90-99.9 miles away
