Assistant Golf Professional

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Golf Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and a commitment to enhancing the member experience for everyone at the club. This role involves assisting the Director of Golf with various aspects of the golf course operation, including customer service and course management while fostering a positive and engaging environment.

The Golf Professional will also play a key role in promoting our golf programs and ensuring that all participants have a memorable experience.

• A good understanding on the game of golf, rules and golf facility operations.
• Tournament operations experience is recommended (Golf Genius)
• Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• May be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Specific duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Golf Professional may vary depending on the golf course and its operations.

• Providing excellent customer service to members and guests, including managing tee times and assisting with course related issues.
• Assist with the management of the practice facility, cart staging area and other golf-related areas.
• Assist with merchandising, inventory management and maintaining the pro shop's appearance.
• Assisting with the planning and organization of tournaments and special events.
• May also be responsible for tasks like maintaining handicap records, preparing the tee sheets, and acting as a starter or marshal.
• Collaborate with other staff members and committees to organize tournaments, events, and promotional activities.
• Maintain knowledge of current trends in golf industry and continuously seek professional development opportunities.
