Star of the North Academy is accepting applications for Math and Reading intervention Specialists for the school year. Applicants must possess instructional skills in math or reading intervention strategies or other related experience with learning intervention strategies. Elementary education license is preferred.
Job DescriptionThis position will provide academic intervention and support to general education students with academic skills deficits and/or below grade level performance.
- Administers standardized tests in accordance with District testing programs
- Small group instruction of basic literacy skills to students K-6
- Documenting student progress/activities/outcomes;
- Providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
- Assisting in the coordination of Reading and Math Corps programs, Title I and SNA Literacy plans
