Maintenance Person - Weekends

Under the supervision of the Building Superintendent, the Maintenance Person is responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, well‑maintained environment for all members. The role covers the entire East Bridgewater Division facility, parking lot, building security, and general well‑being of members.

• Provide tours to potential members and explain facility policies and membership rates.
• Inform members and prospective members of current and upcoming programs and special events to increase participation.
• Adhere to YMCA emergency procedures and notify staff as necessary.
• Make continuous rounds hourly throughout all areas of the building, staying visible and accessible to members.
• Address member requests, comments, and complaints immediately or refer to appropriate staff.
• Ensure all program areas are fully closed and secured at closing time.
• Assist in classroom and program setup (clearing space, setting up equipment, moving fans, cleaning gym floor).
• Perform facility opening and closing procedures, including unlocking/locking doors, controlling lights, checking equipment, inspecting saunas/steam rooms, and securing the pool.
• During inclement weather, shovel, salt, and de‑ice all walkway and parking areas to maintain safe access.
• Maintain overall cleanliness and cleanliness of locker rooms and other facilities.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and walk up and down stairs.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a trades or maintenance role is preferred.
