Security Gate Service Technician

Premier Fence is expanding our well-established fencing operation to include gates, automation, and access controls
. We’re hiring an Automatic Gate Service Technicians to help launch and grow this new division.

This role is for a technician who knows gate systems and wants to be part of building something from the ground up inside a solid, established company. You’ll be joining an experienced fencing team while helping our access controls and automation division
. There is real upward mobility for the right person.

• Service and repair of automated gate systems:
  • Slide, swing, cantilever, vertical lift, barrier arm, and crash-rated gate systems.
• Maintenance and repair of high-security and crash-rated gates, including heavy-duty mechanical and hydraulic components.
• Troubleshooting operators, motors, control boards, safety loops, photo eyes, keypads, intercoms, and access control devices.
• Preventative maintenance and scheduled service work.
• Emergency service calls as required.
• Supporting installs and system upgrades as the division grows.

• 2+ years hands-on experience with automated gate systems.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Solid electrical knowledge (low voltage, basic 120V/240V).
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and manufacturer documentation.
• Comfortable working independently in the field.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Criminal background check required.
• On call rotation for after hours and weekend service.
• Willing and able to pass a pre-employment drug screening that includes Marijuana.

• Lift Master, Doorking, HySecurity, FAAC, Nice, Viking, Linear, or similar.
• UL 325 compliance knowledge.
• Commercial, HOA, industrial, or high-security gate environments.
• Access control and telephone entry systems.
• Welding or fabrication experience (plus, not required).
