Overview
We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead and manage audit and assurance engagements for a diverse portfolio of middle-market clients. This role focuses primarily on Life Sciences/Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Distribution & Logistics, and Employee Benefit Plan (EBP) engagements while offering exposure to additional industries. The ideal candidate is a strong client advisor, technical leader, and mentor with public accounting experience.
Key Responsibilities- Lead audit, assurance, and accounting engagements from planning through completion.
- Serve as the primary client contact, managing expectations, timelines, and deliverables.
- Review work papers and financial statements while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and applicable professional standards
. - Provide technical guidance on complex accounting and auditing matters, including cost accounting and ERISA/DOL compliance for Employee Benefit Plan engagements.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop staff while managing multiple concurrent engagements, budgets, and profitability.
- Build and strengthen client relationships through exceptional service and proactive communication.
- Support business development initiatives through networking, proposals, and industry involvement.
- Stay current on accounting, auditing, and industry developments through continuing professional education.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's preferred).
- Active CPA license required.
- 6+ years of recent public accounting audit experience.
- Prior experience supervising engagement teams.
- Experience serving clients in one or more of the following industries:
- Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical
- Manufacturing
- Distribution & Logistics
- Employee Benefit Plans (EBP)
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and ERISA/DOL requirements
. - Excellent project management, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
