Position SummaryWe are seeking a results-driven Account Manager / Client Partner to own and expand our strategic IT Services accounts. In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the client relationship, from ensuring delivery excellence (farming) to identifying and closing net-new opportunities (hunting). You will manage a portfolio valued at $10M+, acting as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders while driving tangible revenue growth for our organization.
This role requires a balance of operational rigor and aggressive business development acumen.
Key Responsibilities Account Growth & Business Development (The "Hunter" Element)- Achieve and exceed annual revenue and growth targets for an assigned portfolio of accounts ($10M+)
- Proactively identify, qualify, and close cross-sell and up-sell opportunities within existing accounts
- Lead the pursuit of net-new business, including lead generation, proposal creation, SOW development, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations
- Maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities, accurately forecasting revenue and managing the sales cycle from discovery to close
- Build and sustain C-level and executive relationships based on strategic business insight, not just operational delivery
- Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations, ensuring high client satisfaction (CSAT) and account health
- Lead strategic business reviews (QBRs) to demonstrate value, present roadmaps, and align on future initiatives
- Partner closely with delivery, technical, and project management teams to ensure seamless execution of services
- Govern the account to ensure profitability; manage scope creep and change orders effectively
- Identify risks to both delivery and growth early, coordinating cross-functional solutions
- Experience:
5+ years in Account Management, Client Partnership, or Business Development within the IT Services, Consulting, or Technology solutions industry - Portfolio Management:
Proven track record of managing and growing a portfolio of $10M+ USD in annual recurring revenue - Sales Acumen:
Demonstrated ability to identify leads, develop proposals, and close deals (must include examples of quota attainment or revenue growth) - Strategic & Operational:
Ability to navigate complex delivery challenges while simultaneously hunting for the next opportunity - Communication:
Executive-level presentation and negotiation skills
