We are seeking an experienced Foreman to oversee daily field operations for large-scale earthwork, site development, renewable energy, landfill, industrial, and civil construction projects. This individual will lead crews of 10–20+ employees, coordinate equipment and labor resources, ensure work is completed safely and efficiently, interpret plans and specifications, and maintain production schedules while delivering high-quality results.

- Maintain production schedules and ensure high-quality results.
- Plan daily activities, coordinate crews, and manage subcontractor oversight.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and demonstrate strong safety leadership.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, superintendents, and inspectors.
- Solve problems and make decisions in active construction environments.
- Track equipment operations and production efficiently.
- Proven experience leading field crews of 10–20+ operators.
- Experience in excavation, grading, and site development.
- Experience on large-scale civil construction, landfill, solar, power generation, roadway, or heavy industrial projects.
- Strong safety leadership and OSHA compliance knowledge.
- Ability to manage schedules, resources, and project milestones.
- Effective communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Foreman or Lead Operator in heavy civil construction.
- Experience with earthmoving, excavation, grading, drainage, and utility installation projects.
- Ability to read construction plans, specifications, and survey layouts.
- Experience managing multiple equipment operators and laborers.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Experience with GPS machine control and grade checking is a plus.
- Strong leadership and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to work in changing weather and site conditions.
- Familiarity with daily reports, production tracking, and safety documentation.

This role operates in a primarily outdoor construction environment, involving active heavy civil construction sites. Expect daily interaction with operators, laborers, and subcontractors in year-round work across varying weather conditions. The environment is fast-paced, with a focus on safety, production, and quality. Most work will be performed at a single project location, with occasional movement between project areas.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Brunswick, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr.
