Family Office Accounting Operations Manager

Overview

A highly prestigious private equity fund is seeking an Accounting Manager to support its Family Office division. This hybrid role will oversee accounting operations across multiple entities, working closely with senior leadership in a sophisticated, high-performing environment.

• Oversee and execute accounting operations across multiple family office entities.
• Prepare, review, and manage monthly close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Develop, review, and maintain working paper packages with a strong understanding of underlying financial activity.
• Prepare financial summaries, analyses, and presentation materials to support leadership and family stakeholders.
• Manage cash flow, banking activity, and liquidity across entities.
• Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisors, and legal partners.
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to internal controls and best practices.
• Lead, coach, and review the work of two direct reports, providing ongoing guidance and development.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with a Master’s degree and/or CPA strongly preferred.
• 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years within a complex multi-entity family office.
• Working knowledge of public financial markets and alternative investments including private equity funds, hedge funds, venture capital, etc.
