Hospice care supports patients and families during the final phase of life. We are looking for empathetic individuals who have the heart to "show up" for others. This role offers a unique opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life, deepening your own emotional and spiritual perspective while serving as a vital member of our care team.
The Impact You’ll MakeAs a volunteer, you will act as a friend and companion to patients with a terminal diagnosis (six months or less to live). You will provide essential emotional support and companionship, as well as much-needed "respite" (a short break) for family caregivers.
Location: Visits take place in the patient’s home, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes within your local area.
Your Responsibilities- Companionship: Engage in active listening, bedside sitting, or simple conversation.

Connect through hobbies such as reading, watching movies, playing cards, discussing life stories, or listening to music. - Caregiver Support: Provide 2–4 hour blocks of "respite care," allowing family members to run errands, rest, or take a break.
