Overview

Tamarack Golf Course is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Assistant General Manager!

The Assistant General Manager will report directly to the General Manager, and help administer all aspects of the operation. The Assistant General Manager will coordinate/administer the property's policies and procedures as defined by the property's ownership and/or Troon.

Summary

The position is focused on ensuring an enjoyable social experience by overseeing both gaming technology and our food and beverage operations. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about working with the public and has a strong hospitality background. Responsibilities
  • Works closely with the General Manager to plan and develop programs that appeal to all customer segments in the surrounding markets
  • Assist with sourcing, hiring, developing, training and motivating a staff of professional service-orientated staff with support from the General Manager
  • Assists in hiring, developing and supervising all key management employees of the property
  • Produce daily reports related to games and sales, food and beverage labor costs, inventory etc. for management
  • Assists in reconciliation of daily cash, accounts receivable and accounts payable charges
  • Assists in overseeing the care and maintenance of the property's physical assets and facilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned as assigned by supervisor or manager
  • Manages all aspects of the facility in the absence of the General Manager
Qualifications and Knowledge Requirements
  • 1-3 years' experience in the Hospitality industry
  • Must have supervisory, coaching and staff development experience
  • Four-year college degree preferred
  • Must have exceptional customer service skills
  • PGA Membership or PGA registered apprentice preferred
  • Must be proficient in Excel, Access, Word, POS systems
  • Must have a strong business aptitude and passion for the customer service industry
  • Must be highly motivated, goal driven and self-starter
  • Must be extremely organized, efficient and detail-oriented
  • Must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly polished interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people easily and quickly
