Locum Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner – New Brunswick, NJ
Palm Health Resources is hiring an experienced Nurse Practitioner for a locum Occupational Medicine opportunity in New Brunswick, New Jersey
. This is an outpatient, non-hospital assignment with no call responsibilities and an expedited onboarding process
.
The assignment is currently expected to run from October through November 2026
, with a primary need for weekday afternoon/evening coverage.
Schedule:
- Monday–Thursday:
10:30 AM–7:00 PM - Friday: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
- Additional 2–3 day-per-week coverage may also be available
- No call
- Approximately 20–25 patients per day
Position Responsibilities:
- Pre-employment and pre-placement physical examinations
- Return-to-work evaluations and clearances
- Initial and follow-up workplace injury assessments
- Workers' Compensation evaluations
- Fit-for-duty examinations
- Medical surveillance and occupational exposure follow-up
- Employee health screenings and for-cause substance testing
- Order and interpret appropriate laboratory testing and diagnostic X-rays
- Collaborate with physicians and other Advanced Practice Providers
Requirements:
- Experienced Nurse Practitioner with a strong clinical background
- Active New Jersey license
- Current DOT certification
- Active NJ CDS and DEA
- Comfortable managing Workers' Compensation cases
- Occupational or employee health experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient environment
