Looking for heavy equipment work where skill and experience actually matter? Resource Options (ROI) is hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to support a landfill rehabilitation project. This role is built for operators with strong dozer and grading experience who take pride in doing the job right- on and off the machine.
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to support an active landfill rehabilitation project in East Brunswick, NJ. This position is ideal for hands-on operators with strong grading experience who are comfortable working in the field, reading site plans, and contributing beyond equipment operation. This role offers competitive pay and the opportunity to transition into a permanent position.
Responsibilities- Operate excavators, dozers, and loaders safely and efficiently
- Perform grading work including slopes and fine grading (dozer experience required)
- Support landfill rehabilitation and site restoration activities
- Perform trenching work as required
- Read and interpret site plans and stake layouts
- Set and follow grade stakes
- Assist with general site work when not operating equipment
- Operate primarily CAT and Komatsu equipment
- Minimum of 3 years of solid heavy equipment operating experience
- Proficient operating dozers, excavators, and loaders
- Strong grading experience, particularly with dozers
- Ability to read and interpret site plans and stake layouts
- Willingness to get out of the cab and assist with site work as needed
- Prior construction site experience (not facility-based work)
- Open to travel and work where projects are located
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification (preferred)
Pay Range: $30.00/hr- $40.00/hr.
