Job Title:
Mainframe Developer – MD Responsibilities
Job Description:
- Interface with business and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate business requirements into formal technical requirements and application code.
- Design, develop and maintain software applications using programming languages COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM and DB2.
- Work with IT support teams to ensure support and project requirements are developed and successfully implemented.
- Develop and execute unit test and integration plans/scripts to validate that application changes meet technical specifications.
- Follow documentation, software development methodology, version control and testing, and migration standards.
- Work with the Test Team during the SIT and with the business team to complete acceptance testing.
- Effectively manage implementation of enhancements, change requests, and releases.
- Debug and resolve application defects and issues in a timely manner.
