Project Engineer, Systems Engineer

Location: East Chicago, Indiana

This role delivers engineering solutions for terminal and pipeline capital projects, supporting design, project execution, and operational reliability. The Engineer evaluates project scope, develops engineered designs, supports capital budgeting, and provides technical expertise across operations while supporting the Above Ground Storage Tank Inspection Program (ASTIP) and Integrity Management Program (IMP).

• Manage and support capital projects up to $5MM TIC
• Develop engineering designs compliant with regulatory and industry standards
• Support AFE estimates, bid packages, contractor selection, and capital budgets
• Review drawings and calculations for safety, environmental, and operational compliance
• Provide technical support across piping, equipment, electrical, civil, and automation systems
• Support ASTIP, coatings, cathodic protection, and pipeline integrity activities
• Utilize SAP (PS, PM, MM) for project execution and reporting

• BS in Engineering + 4+ years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in MS Office and scheduling tools
• Working knowledge of industry codes and standards

• 49 CFR 192/195 experience
• API 653 Certification
• SAP experience
