Senior IT Applications Engineer

Location: East Chicago, IN

Immediate opening for a Senior SAP Engineer for OTC (Order‑to‑Cash) processes. The role includes support of the SAP production environment and participation in strategic projects as needed.

This role is fully onsite and will be performed in one of Cleveland, OH or East Chicago, IN.

• Functional leader managing the production environment for SAP modules used in the order‑to‑cash process.
• Responsible for SAP design of the OTC modules with a good end‑to‑end knowledge of the business process and integration with legacy applications.
• Stay current with SAP OTC best practices and knowledge updates.
• Ensure all new developments conform to SAP standards.
• Train end users through knowledge sessions and assist with user documentation.
• Act as liaison with Business users to gather requirements, design, and deliver technical solutions related to SAP S/4 for Sales and Distribution, Order Management, Pricing, Variant Configuration, and EDI.
• Work with the technical team on designing and developing workflows, reports, interfaces, data conversions, enhancements, and forms (WRICEF). Validate business design with users and execute system unit and integration testing.
• Provide overall leadership on larger change requests or projects impacting multiple SAP disciplines.
• Other duties as assigned.

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5 years of SAP SD experience and working knowledge of integrated modules such as MM, FI‑AR.
• Experience in a full project lifecycle end‑to‑end.
• Strong exposure to EDI (850, 855, 810, 830, etc.).
• Knowledge of RFCs, BAPIs, BADIs, BDCs, User Exits, and enhancement points.
• Strong knowledge of outbound/inbound ABAP interfaces using IDOCs, BAPIs, RFCs, and flat files.
• Broad technical knowledge of key SAP functionality and technology.
• Expert in IDOC enhancements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Travel required for less than 10% of the time.
• Applicants must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.

• Manufacturing or steel experience.
• IBM Web Sphere Middleware exposure.
• CDS views, BOPF, OData.
• ABAP debugging skills.
• Fiori knowledge.
  
  BRF+ knowledge.
• Cloud experience in Cloud for Customer CRM (C4C).
• Good understanding of GATP and AATP concepts.
• SAP HANA 2021 on‑premise experience.
• O365 Microsoft tools.
• Ability to multi‑task and strong time management skills.
• Experience with ITIL concepts and processes.
